The Floyd Story
#JustUs
The Floyd family has faced a barrage of systemic challenges orchestrated by the Calvert Manor Civic Association (CMCA)
and exacerbated by several county agencies.

“Our residence has been the subject of over 86 police calls during private family gatherings”
Upon settling into their home, the Floyd family was immediately stereotyped and unfairly targeted in the community newsletter published by the CMCA, setting a tone of exclusion and bias that has persisted. Despite adhering to all local ordinances, their residence has been the subject of over 86 police calls during private family gatherings, all of which were found to be within legal noise levels. This harassment escalated with the unilateral installation of “No Parking” signs on their property, allegedly for safety reasons. Yet, no other homes in the area have been subjected to similar treatment.

The lack of transparency and cooperation from local authorities only deepens the suspicion of racial discrimination.
This is a call to action against discrimination everywhere.
